Cílem edice Orient je seznamovat čtenáře se vzdálenými kraji, exotickými kuriozitami, ale i seriózními vědeckými pracemi zabývajícími se dějinami, kulturami a jazyky daných oblastí, a to prostřednictvím překladů autentických literárních památek Orientu i fundovaných, nepředpojatých a zasvěcených studií starších i současných badatelů a orientalistů.
The aim of The Orient Edition is to make a reader familiar with distant countries, exotic curiosities, but also with respectable scientific works concerning history, cultures and languages of given regions. This is achieved through translations of authentic literary works of The Orient and also erudite, unprejudiced and knowledgeable studies of previous and current researches and explorers.
